SPOTLIGHT KITTEN: HAGA

For more information about adopting Haga or any of the kittens; email me at VFRgrl@yahoo.com
Meet Haga: He was named after World Superbike racer Noriyuki Haga (pictured to the right)
Haga is a beautiful black cat, with a white spot on his chest, and white markings on his belly that make him look like he is wearing a bikini!
Haga is very sweet, but very shy with new people. Once he warms up to you, he is very loving and trusting and likes to have his belly rubbed.
Haga and his brother JT had little socialization and interaction when they were young (see their Petfinder page for more information) so they both are still very 'kitten-like' in their play and behavior- even though they are around 9 months old. Haga LOVES to play with crumpled-up paper balls and will chase them all over the house and carry them around in his mouth

Haga is GORGEOUS, like a little black panther with beautiful round green-yellow eyes.
His personality is still coming out, and I think he would love to have more individual attention rather than being one in the crowd.

Haga LOVES his brother JT and they will play and sleep together- but he also gets along with other cats and kittens. Because of everything that Haga and JT have gone through, I am requiring that they be adopted together. Haga much more shy than JT- but if JT is around- he is more likely to be brave and venture out around new people. They cuddle and knead on each other- and Haga will look for JT if he isn't sure of something or is scared. He really loves his brother and I hope there is someone out there who understands the bond these two brothers have.

If you think that this gorgeous, sleek, sweet, and playful black panther would be a good addition to your home (and you are willing to adopt his wonderful brother JT with him) contact Lori at VFRgrl@yahoo.com.

Also, please feel free to contact me with any questions that you have about these wonderful babies!

SPOTLIGHT KITTEN: J.T !!

FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT ADOPTING J.T. OR ANY OF THE KITTENS: EMAIL VFRgrl@yahoo.com

SEE J.T and his brother Haga (who must be adopted with J.T) on Petfinder at:

J.T is named after James Toseland; 2007 World Superbike (motorcycle) Champion :) He is a very Stunning black and white tuxedo with 2 adorable black dots on his nose that make him look like a bull! See picture to the right for the human JT.. :)

J.T is a VERY special little guy. Some person thought that they would "help" JT and his brother Haga by trapping their Mom who was a barn cat when they were only 4 weeks old. Mom was spayed and put back in the barn- but JT and Haga were kept in the vet office from 4 weeks to 6 weeks where they were then moved to a dog crate in the barn- so he spent the first 8-9 weeks of his life kept in a cage with no play and socialization.

When we took JT and Haga into our foster program- they didn't know how to play or interact with each other, other than to snuggle up to each other in a ball. They had never seen a cat toy, and were very scared of toys, people, other cats, and all noises. Slowly they came out of their shell and learned to play with toys.

After JT was neutered, we were returning to the car when his carrier broke open and he escaped into the woods behind the vet office. Because he was still a little loopy from anesthesia, and very scared and disoriented- we were unable to coax him or catch him that day.

Every day, at least twice a day, volunteers returned to the site he went missing to leave food, treats, and clothes with our smells on them. With the help of the resident cat at a business close to the vets office- we finally had an official JT sighting- 4 weeks after he went missing! About a week later (5 weeks missing!!), we got him back- healthy and VERY happy to be back inside.

Since he has returned to the foster home, he has become the “zen kitty” of the house. He is a very quiet, laid back kitty, who loves to snuggle- EVEN WITH THE PUPPY! He doesn’t really like it when the puppy gets excited and tries to play- but JT will climb right in the dog bed with the puppy to sleep.

He loves to sleep with the other kittens as well, and is happiest in a kitten pile (preferably with his brother Haga close by). He is happiest when he can just ‘be’ a cat and snooze up in the cat tree, curled up in a box, or next to you in the bed or on the couch.

He is a very sweet, very gentle cat who doesn’t let many things phase him but he doesn’t like a lot of noise and commotion. Even though he will come out to greet company- If things get too loud or active, JT just walks away slowly to find a more peaceful hang out spot.

Although he hasn’t shown interest in going outside since he has been home, we would like to see him in a house where SOME outside time would be possible if he chooses. To find out more about Haga and JT, please contact his foster Mom at VFRgrl@yahoo.com.

**ADOPTED** BAYLISS

To find out more information about adopting Bayliss or any of the other kittens; Email me at VFRgrl@yahoo.com

Bayliss's brother Casey has been adopted; but Bayliss MUST go to a home with another playful cat or kitten. Bayliss (and Casey) on Petfinder (with links to YouTube videos): http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=9452363

Bayliss is about 8-9 months old and is named after Troy Bayliss, 2X World Superbike Champion motorcycle racer (see a theme here?).

Pictured to the right is the human Bayliss with the feline Bayliss- see the resemblance (just kidding!)

Bayliss always looks like he is squinting in pictures for some reason. He is a GORGEOUS Russian Blue mix, who you really have to see in person to appreciate how gorgeous his coat color is.

Bayliss is sometimes shy around new people and situations- but once he is comfortable with you, he loves to snuggle and sit on your lap.

He is not as outgoing as his brother Casey, but once you get to know him you can see his personality come out. He 'talks' to you- if you say "Bayliss" he will meow back :) He has also become QUITE the beggar for food in the kitchen and will actually hang by his front paws from the drawer pulls and cry if he smells something good on the counter. We try to discourage this behavior, but sometimes it just makes me laugh.

Bayliss has grown up around other kittens, cats, and dogs- and will lay with the dogs sometimes- but he generally doesn't interact with the dogs much. He loves to hang out with the other kittens and play with the other kittens- but he is pretty laid back when compared to some of the others.

Bayliss has a very sweet personality, and has become quite the lap cat. He isn't too fond of people walking up to him and scooping him up, but he will come and sleep on your lap if you call him.

This is a picture of Bayliss asking for treats. He reaches up your leg and 'meows' softly. He is a real sweetheart and deserves a loving home.

If you think that you would like to make Bayliss a part of the family- email for an application at VFRgrl@yahoo.com
